The article reminded me of two Koreans I had encountered with early in 1970s. One was Mangyum who had left Korea for the U.S. in the latter half of 70s, the other was a woman who had got married to a man living in the Western Coast. Hope they had read the article appeared in the Rafu shimpo a decade ago and thought of me for a while.
